An accurate dynamical model of induction generator utilized in wind energy systems

Due to the advantages of a self-excited induction generator (SEIG), it plays main role in sources renewable energy, such as wind turbines (WT). The regulation terminal voltage and frequency is poor under variable rotor speed load conditions at stand-alone operation mode. depends on excitation capacitance which can be controlled by capacitor bank static compensator. dynamical model machine described differential equations D-Q axes transformations synchronously rotating frame. Many models analysis are proposed literature. In those models, several approximations used simplify process calculations, neglecting iron core resistance, stray stator leakage reactance, magnetic saturation. this work, comprehensive dynamic SEIG-WT performed analyze system performance transient steady-state conditions. This considers effect all parameters variation. New analytical formulas for accurate calculation minimum maximum values cut-off speed. results partially compared with experimental results, agreement shown.
